Near Murska Sobota there is Mura River, which once powered one hundred mills, but nowadays there is only one, Babič’s Mill at Veržej. After visiting the mill, the path leads us to the Lake Bukovniško. On the raised area near the lake is the chapel of St. Vid and the spring with the same name. According to the oral tradition, many people have improved their sight or they even overlooked if they washed their eyes with water from the spring. After a relaxing walk through 26 healing points, we continue to the ‘Magda House’, which is an example of the renovated old Pannonian house in Filovci from 1903. The house has a characteristic shape of the letter L, which was typical for most homes in Prekmurje. Inside we will visit a museum.
In The afternoon we proceed to the municipality of Grad, where on the top of the green hill is proudly rising castle Grad – the largest one in Slovenia with its 365 rooms. The castle building is one of the largest feudal complexes in Slovenia.
