Back To The Past By Observing The Volcanic Eruption

Did you know that we had a functioning volcano in Slovenia? Get ready for an unforgettable journey to the depths of a gorgeous volcano, through the history of the Earth and geologic characteristics. In Vulkanija experience park, we will not only meet the last erupting volcano that created the volcanic slope Smrekovec, in the area of today’s Slovenia at the castle Grad in Goričko, but we will literally experience its outbreak. At the same time, we will learn about many other interesting facts about the volcanoes and geological features of our planet in the Geological Museum and Quarry. In The afternoon we proceed to the municipality of Grad, where on the top of the green hill is proudly rising castle Grad – the largest one in Slovenia with its 365 rooms. The castle building is one of the largest feudal complexes in Slovenia.
