14 DAY 1: ARRIVAL ROME Welcome to Italy and its famous capital Rome. Meet with your tour director and get to know the details of your tour! Free time in the eternal city. DAY 2: ROME B All roads lead to Rome! Join your tour leader for a guided tour of this historical city. Visit the gladia- tor’s arena – Colosseum, Caesar’s forum, Venice square, ...take a stroll in the through Piazza Navona with famous fountain of Fours Rivers, admire the magnificent Pantheon, Spanish stairs and throw a coin in fountain Trevi. Later in the afternoon, free time to experience the city on your own. DAY 3: VATICAN MUSEUMS & SISTINE CHAPEL B Discover the smallest state in the world – Vatican. Your guide will first take you through Vatican’s mu- seums, including one of the richest art collections in the world. Special attention will be dedicated to unique Sistine Chapel adorned by Michelange- lo. The tour will end on St Peter’s square, where you will be able to admire the St Peter’s Basilica as well. In the afternoon, visit the unique church of St Mary of Angels, San Pietro and Vincoli church where you can see the chains of St Peter. After- noon will be will be free for you to enjoy the final moments in Rome. DAY 4: ASSISI – SAN GIMIGNANO – FLORENCE B, T Continue your adventure to medieval town of As- sisi, where patron of Italy, St Francis was born. Walking tour of the ancient town, protected by UNESCO World Heritage, offers interesting sites as Basilica of San Francisco, an artistic highlight of medieval Europe containing the sacred relics of St Francis and Giotto’s frescoes. After the ba- silica visit drive through Tuscany. Stop at one of the best wine cellars in the region, where you will learn all about the traditional wine Chianti and try it togheter with the tasting of local products. Af- ternoon walk through the picturesque San Gimig- nano and in the late afternoon, arrival to Renais- sance city of Florence. Accommodation and free time. DAY 5: FLORENCE B Head for the ancient heart of Florence and expe- rience a real travel back in time when your guide takes you to Piazza del Duomo with outstand- ing cathedral Santa Maria de Fiore, Giotto’s Bell, Dante’s birth house and church Santa Croce. Stop at Piazza della signora, decorated with numerous palace and monuments, admire the church Ors- anmichele and its gothic style, stroll through Uffizi Gallery staircase all the way to Pitti palace. After- noon will be free at leisure. 4 OPTIONAL: Ufizzi Gallery visit DAY 6: PISA – LUCA – VENICE B, L Before saying goodbye to Tuscany, visit one if its most renewed towns, Pisa. Snap a photo with famous leaning tower and stop at square of Mir- acles where Galileo Galilei has proved that Aris- totle’s theory of the acceleration of falling bodies is incorrect. Continue to Lucca, and take a walk though this medieval pearl visiting St Michel ca- thedral, St Martin church, city wall, etc. in the late afternoon arrival Venice area, accommodation in hotel and free time. DAY 7: VENICE B, D Spend a day in the most romantic city in the world, Venice. Embark the taxi boat and take a guid- ed tour of the Venice city. Your tour will take you around St. Marco’s Square to see Basilica with fa- mous mosaics and its bell tower, Astrological tow- er, the Doge’s palace - residence of Doges of Ven- ice, cross the Rialto bridge and listen to the stories of famous Venetians. Free afternoon to enjoy city by yourself, find true souvenirs fromMurano glass, and have a coffee on Str Marco’s square.
