10 DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN LJUBLJANA Welcome to Slovenia and its beloved capital! Meet with your tour director and get to know the details of your tour! Free time in Ljubljana DAY 2: LJUBLJANA B Start your day with visit of colorful Slovenian capi- tal, Ljubljana. Your guide will take you around and show you most important attractions, such as Preseren’s square, Triple bridge, fish market, town hall and many others. To wrap up the whole Lju- bljana story, you will also take funicular up to the castle hill, to learn more about Ljubljana and Slo- venia’s history and of course admire amazing view from the top. Afternoon will be free at leisure, to enjoy city on your own. 4 OPTIONAL: Slovenian folklore dinner DAY 3: ZAGREB B Say goodbye to stunning Slovenia and drive to Croatia. Walking tour of its historical capital Za- greb composed of the Gornji Grad and Kaptol, will show medieval urban complex of churches, palac- es, museums, galleries and government buildings popular sightseeing spots of the city. Free after- noon to enjoy and discover city on your own. DAY 4: PLITVICE – OPATIJA B, L One of the most photogenic natural parks is wait- ing for you! Plitvice national park will absolutely take your breath away! With its exceptional natural beauty, this area has always attracted nature lov- ers, and already on 8 April 1949, it was proclaimed Croatia’s first national park. A UNESCO World Her- itage Site is considered one of the most spectacu- lar natural phenomena with 16 emerald-turquoise lakes that are connected to each other by a fabu- lous system of waterfalls. After lunch, the scenic road will take you to blue Adriatic coastline. You will accommodate in Opatija, dame of coastal Croatia that emerged as holiday resort for elite al- ready in 19th century hosting eminent guests such as Emperor Franc Josef I, empress Maria Anna and many others. DAY 5: ISTRIA TOUR B, T Istria is the largest peninsula in the Adriatic Sea. The peninsula is located at the head of the Adriatic between Gulf of Trieste and Kvarner Gulf and it is shared by three countries: Italy, Slovenia and Cro- atia. Rovinj is one of the most popular and most developed tourist resorts in Croatia. The old town is built on the island and it is the most picturesque and romantic towns on Mediterranean. To fell the true Istrian spirit, visit one of Istrian agritourism farm for local tasting. Continue to Porec, one of most popular holiday destinations in Istria. A stroll through town and its narrow streets, will mesmer- ize you. In the afternoon return to hotel and enjoy free time by the sea. DAY 6: PREDJAMA CASTLE – POSTOJNA CAVE – JULIAN ALPS B , L Saying goodbye to seaside, your adventure will continue to the underworld, more exactly Karst underworld. Your fist stops - Predjama, amazing Renaissance fortress, built within a cave, is not at all the kind of castle you are familiar with. Even Guinees book of records listed it biggest castle ever built inside a rock. It will definitely leave you speechless. Enter the queen of caves – Postojna cave, the only cave in the world with a train in it. The cave offers a unique experience of the under- world. Lunch and in the afternoon continue to Ju- lian Alps region and enjoy your free time in pristine nature. DAY 7: BLED AND BOHINJ B, L, D Time for Alpine fairy tale! With immense natural beauty, Bled, together with its surroundings and magnificent lake with an island, ranks among the most beautiful alpine resorts of the world. Amaz- ing castle on the cliff is offering stunning views of the region, while island in the middle of the lake can be visited with traditional boat called “pletna”. Later on, continue to the largest alpine lake in Slo- venia – lake Bohinj. You will take a funicular to Mt Vogel top, where your breath will be taken away by unforgettable views of Triglav National Park. Lunch and some free time to admire its natural beauty and relax on the lake shore. In the evening join you group for a farewell dinner where you will talk about most memorable moments of the tour and plan for new ones.
